Openda opens its counter with Lens against Inter Milan

Sold out, RC Lens won their penultimate warm-up match against Inter Milan (1-0). It was Loïs Openda, the striker bought from Club Brugge, who came on at the break to replace Ganago, who opened the scoring subtly by taking a corner from Cabot at the near post with a stung ball that lobbed the transalpine goalkeeper (90th ). Haïdara accompanied the ball which entered the empty goal at the far post. The artesian club rather tied the game in the first period without creating any real chances except for a shot on target from Sotoca pushed back by Handanovic (32nd).

Shortly after the hour mark, Simone Inzaghi made many changes, including her pair of attackers Dzeko-Correa by the doublet Lukaku-Lautaro Martinez. The Inter players proved to be much more oppressive and more dangerous. But Lautaro Martinez took over well above an impeccable cross from Lukaku in his race (67th).

Goalkeeper Brice Samba repeatedly kept his team in the game. First by stopping a point-blank header from De Vrij (55′). Then by winning his face-to-face on the ground in front of Laurato Martinez (79th). Finally by pushing back a very dangerous cross from Lazaro (79th) with his fists.

Franck Haise also gave playing time to several players at the end of the game before his team took advantage of the spaces left by the Milanese. Without managing to worsen the score for lack of accuracy in the last gesture.
