Monaco ticked two names to replace Tchouaméni

After a long soap opera involving PSG in particular, Aurélien Tchouaméni is preparing to leave Monaco for Real Madrid according to several concordant sources and ASM is already working on the name of his successor in the midfield. According to information from L’Équipe, the Rock club is thinking of two players in particular.

The first is called Danilo (Palmeiras, 2026) and also remains in the sights of OM. But bringing the Brazilian midfielder to the Principality this summer looks complicated on paper. Monaco technical director Laurence Stewart visited Brazil a month ago and met with the 19-year-old’s advisers. Nevertheless, “the president of Palmeiras does not want to sell the latter before the next winter transfer window”specifies the sports daily.

In addition, the ASM is digging the track leading to Amadou Onana (Lille, 2026), a file already mentioned by several sources in recent weeks. The Belgian international midfielder (1 selection) is appreciated by his compatriot Philippe Clement, the coach of Monaco, who had already wanted to recruit him last summer when he was stationed in Bruges. The 20-year-old player, who played in Hamburg, had finally gone to LOSC against 9 million euros. It remains to be seen whether the northern club would agree to let him go just one year after his arrival. According to L’Équipe’s correspondent in Lille, the answer is no.

If Monaco’s interest in Danilo and Onana seems very real, these two avenues will however be difficult to achieve this summer and ASM, which will play in the third preliminary round of the Champions League before a potential play-off, will therefore probably having to explore other horizons in order to replace Aurélien Tchouaméni, one of the best elements of his workforce.
