Me Babacar Ndiaye, president Fédé basket: “Why the choice of Dakar” – Lequotidien

The president of the Senegalese Basketball Federation, Me Babacar Ndiaye, yesterday explained Senegal’s choice to host the second Africa Zone window of the 2023 World Cup, scheduled for February 25 to 27. “The federation wanted to organize this tournament in Dakar for several reasons, in particular the possibility of playing in Dakar Arena to multiply our chances. Do not forget that we do not have our players from the Nba, nor those from the Euroleague. So it was important to take advantage of this window to, as I said, maximize our chances of qualifying.
As for the next window scheduled for next June-July, the president of the federal body specified that “Egypt has positioned itself to organize it. For this period, we could have all of our players playing in the Nba and the Euroleague.
