Latest news on Maria Sharapova

Maria Sharapova is undoubtedly recognized as one of the most beautiful and successful tennis players of the past twenty years, a tennis player who paradoxically said goodbye to the WTA Tour too soon.

The Russian tennis player became number one and won several Grand Slam titles at a very young age, many considered her the only real rival of a legend or rather an icon like Serena Williams. In the end, Maria won five Grand Slam titles, even less than everyone expected, but she managed the feat of winning all four Grand Slam tournaments, the last in 2014 at Roland Garros in Paris.

However, Masha’s career was repeatedly hampered by injuries and finally, after a long acceptance, the tennis player decided to retire in 2020. Now Sharapova is a successful entrepreneur, in addition to having created a beautiful family.

The Russian is still very active on her social networks. Born in 1987, Maria has been linked to entrepreneur Alexander Gilkes since 2018 and Maria recently gave birth to Theodore, their first child. Maria Sharapova and Serena Williams appeared together recently and Maria revealed she spoke intensely about Serena’s career and retirement, as well as the current generation of tennis players.

Serena Williams officially retired at the last US Open, exiting in the third round against Australian tennis player Ajla Tomljanovic. Serena had also defeated number two seed Anett Kontaveit during the tournament.
