Victorious for the second time at Roland-Garros on Saturday, the Polish Iga Swiatek (8,631 points) increases her lead at the top of the world hierarchy, with more than 4,300 units ahead of the new n°2, the Estonian Anett Kontaveit. Her opponent in the final, the American Cori Gauff, gained 10 places and is now in 13th place, her best career ranking.
Jessica Pegula, 28, made her entry into the top 10, in 8th place (+3). Note the good progress of the two semi-finalists defeated on the Parisian ocher: the Russian Daria Kasatkina, eliminated by Iga Swiatek, now 12th (+8), and Martina Trevisan, who jumped 32 places (27th).
Eliminated in the first round by Diane Parry when she was defending champion, Barbora Krejcikova, tumbles 12 places. She leaves the top 10 and ranks 14th in the world on Monday. Also out of the gate, Ons Jabeur still gains two places thanks to the setbacks of Krejcikova and Maria Sakkari (exit in the 2nd round when she was a semi-finalist last season) and finds herself 4th.
As for the tricolors, Alizé Cornet remains French No. 1 and is ranked 33rd (+7), Caroline Garcia is 75th (+4), Océane Dodin and Clara Burel respectively 85th and 94th. Thanks to her third round at Porte d’Auteuil, Diane Parry gained 15 places to reach 82nd place in the WTA rankings.
