GOLF: The “Greens of Hope” competition was held this Sunday

Organized by the Kiwanis du Creusot, the operation raised a nice amount to finance research against cystic fibrosis.

This Sunday, around forty golfers gathered at the Avoise golf course to compete in the “Greens of Hope” competition, organized for the first time by the Kiwanis du Creusot. The conditions were ideal, with the sun and a well prepared ground, in particular in view of the senior trophy which will be held this week.
Céline Boivin, president of the club, as well as Éric Catelain, president on several occasions and who relaunched the club ten years ago, were present and took the opportunity to recall the missions of the club. Present throughout the world, with a France-Monaco branch, divided into local sections, Kiwanis aims to improve the daily lives of children. At the French level, they finance, for example, cardiac operations or reconstructive surgeries. On the local network, they contribute in particular to the purchase of equipment for disabled children. Oyster sales like last Christmas, or wine auctions, the next of which will take place at the beginning of November at the Kyriad de Montchanin, allow all these actions.

At the end of this day, punctuated by a mid-term break, the traditional award ceremony and its cocktail, a check for €400 was presented by the golf course for the “Greens of Hope”. The operation takes place throughout France and allows the financing of materials useful to researchers working on cystic fibrosis.
No competitions to come this Sunday, due to a rest from the field which will follow the senior trophy and which will make it possible to prepare for a league championship which will take place the following week. See you at the end of May, for the next event open to all.
