After a day of transition and victory in the sprint ofAlberto Dainese (Team DSM), the riders present on this Tour of Italy will find the Dolomites on this 18th stage. Ralliing Oderzo to Val di Zoldo (Palafavera) over 160km, the route includes nearly 3700m of elevation gain. The first two thirds of the stage are not the most difficult, the Passo della Crosetta (11.6km at 7.1%) should allow the breakaway to form, but no movement of favorites is expected there. On the other hand, the final presents a terrible sequence with the Forcella Cibiana (9.6km at 7.8%), the Coi (5.8km at 9.7%) and the final ramp towards the Palafavera (2.7km at 6 .4%). The stage victory could be decided in the breakaway with riders like Ben Healy (EF Education-EasyPost), Brandon McNulty (UAE Team Emirates) or even Thibaut Pinot (Groupama-FDJ). In the finale, a battle between favorites is again predictable. Who will we see stand out between Geraint Thomas (INEOS Grenadiers), Joao Almeida (UAE Team Emirates) and Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma)?
