The fight for the world title intensifies. After a Monaco Grand Prix with twists and turns, there are three drivers in a pocket handkerchief or almost: Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc and Sergio Perez. And the slightest mistake can pay cash in the ranking. The proof a fortnight ago in Monaco with a disastrous strategy by Ferrari in the pits which cost Charles Leclerc a victory.
And this round in Azerbaijan promises to be lively. In five editions in the streets of Baku (a European Grand Prix, four Azerbaijan GPs) the poleman has never won. We still remember the 2021 edition which saw Max Verstappen lose the race due to a puncture and Sir Lewis Hamilton miss after a second start following a red flag. Finally, it was Sergio Perez who won ahead of Sebastian Vettel and Pierre Gasly.
This year, the entire event is broadcast on the antennas of the Canal+ group. The broadcast is shared between Canal+ Sport and Canal+ with an unencrypted broadcast of the race on Sunday from 1 p.m.
