Delighted for European Football League come to the Czech Republic. Their 2023 European Football League the list is established, and the Prague lions are hungry to leave their mark in a new league.
THE Prague lions The roster consists of 37 active players: four US imports, six European imports and 27 domestic players.
At quarterback, they go with Shazzon Mumphrey. Mumphrey played at Florida A&M and later D-II New Haven. He’s a 6’3, 220-pound QB who played a bit of a catcher in college, so if he comes your way, you better watch out because he can land a hit. He led this team to a Czech bowl championship last year and is looking to win another championship this year.
Adam Zouzelka will lead this team’s charge in the backfield. This imposing back was the Czech Bowl MVP last year and will look to continue its success. WR Vic Wharton will most likely be the star of the show on this offense. the old University of California the product had almost 1,000 meters for the golden bear in 2017 and played for the Saar hurricanes in the German Football League two years ago, when he caught 69 passes for 1,000 yards and 11 touchdowns. He will be looking to dominate this league. They also have a hidden weapon Marek Suchy, who is the all-time leading receiver and touchdown scorer in the Czech league. Don’t sleep on either Aymeric Nicault, a former international combined participant, this guy can really impact this team.
THE the Lions signed Eden Thiede Palmer, a close end of England, which can be a real difference maker for this offence. He played in the UK last year and was named Attacking Player of the Year. On the line, Josef Fuksa will undoubtedly be the leader of this team. ‘Pepe’, as his teammates call him, has been playing football in Europe since 2006 when he started with the Lions. He has the experience a team like this needs. David Sanek has also been part of the team for years, making him an experienced front for this team.

Defensively, they will have veteran James Brooks (North Alabama) at the defensive end. Brooks played several years in Japan with IBM Big Blue while playing in Europe with the the Lions as well as with Poznan in Poland and the Cologne Falcons in German Football League. He stood out everywhere he played. He may be a bit older (34) but he is savvy and capable, but he can definitely do it in the ELF. Jan Stary is a great national talent for the The Lions. The defensive end finished second in the league in sacks last year in the Austrian league and will be tough to stop. My player to watch on this D line is Zaire Ugapo, a former Potsdam Royal. This guy is explosive and a hard tackle. He will make the difference for this team.
At linebacker, Emmanuel Falola is a British linebacker with invitations to NFL And CFL combine. He is quick and tough but has yet to play in a league like this. We’ll see if he can continue. Tomas Pazourek will be the leader of this team of linebackers. He led the Czech league in tackles for loss with 19.5 and has the ability to destroy games.
Defensive back Rogria Lewis will have a lot of eyes on him. Lewis was an extra at Alabama who never really had a chance on the court, but he won two national championships and was coached by Nick Saban. He was trained by the best, has the attributes to be excellent and has played well in Austria last year, but this league is a step up. His teammate in Austria, Alexander Borkovic, will also join him in Prague and they should form a dynamic duo. Lukas Ruzek has been with the team since 2010 and should be the heart and soul of the defensive backfield. Seek leadership from him.
Lions are building something special in prague. They have experience and great athletes all over the field. They might not be a playoff team yet, but it wouldn’t be surprising if they slipped through. Much of their season will depend on the older core’s ability to stay healthy all year round. If they stay healthy and can maintain their production, the the Lions can be a scary team to play.
