OGC Nice is pleased to announce the extension of Dante for an additional season. The captain will wear the red and black colors during the 2023-24 fiscal year.
It’s a love story that has lasted since 2016 and will continue to be written over the next financial year. A story between OGC Nice, its captain, its city and its supporters. At 39, the “Commandante”, almost 250 games with an eagle on his heart, is back for a season. “Sportingly and humanely, its extension was obvious, salute Jean-Pierre Rivère. Our relationship goes well beyond the contractual aspect: from the moment he wanted to continue, the question did not even arise and he was certain that we would quickly reach an agreement. Dante is a role model, on and off the pitch. We are very lucky to have him with us. He was always there for us and we will always be there for him. »

He chained every 3 days, without ever weakening, missing only two meetings due to suspension. His presence reassures others. It brings us a lot of guarantees. He perfectly embodies the requirement and the identity that we want to imprint on the team and, more broadly, the requirement and the identity of the club. »
