The FFBB organized the Lab France BasketBall inspired by Spanish know-how. For this first campaign, the Federation has notably taken up the idea of the summer regrouping of the various national teams, when there is no competition. On the program this week, training for all participants, meetings with the national coaches, Vincent Collet and Valérie Garnier, discussions with great figures of French basketball, who came especially for the occasion. Boris Diaw (deputy general manager of the Blues), Céline Dumerc (general manager of the Blues) or even Nicolas Batum (captain of the France team) made the trip. Pleasant moments for the future stars of tomorrow. However, the Lab aims to settle for the long term. The Federation has a much more distant vision by organizing this kind of grouping. It aims to strengthen the identity of French basketball.

Alain Contensoux, National Technical Director and General Manager of the French Federation of BasketBall, assures that “We are a strong nation in world basketball. And the work of the National Technical Department is to prepare for the future and to make all the technical developments necessary to keep us at the highest level.”. The major French basketball bodies aim to transmit the values of the France team jersey, facilitate meetings and intergenerational exchanges, give young people the opportunity to get in touch with pros, but also prepare for the next deadlines, with the Tokyo and Paris Olympics in the lead.
