Globo, one of the main Brazilian media, estimated that a “phantom” penalty was awarded to Neymar during the friendly match of PSG against Gamba Osaka on Monday (6-2). Words that did not really please the person concerned.
It’s only a penalty in a pre-season friendly match, but, as often with the superstar Neymar, the controversy has taken on considerable proportions on social networks and has provoked a pass of arms between the PSG striker and Globo, one of the main Brazilian media.
>> Relive Gamba Osaka-PSG (2-6)
This Monday, the daily estimated that the penalty awarded to Neymar against Gamba Osaka in the last match of PSG’s Japanese tour (6-2) was a “phantom” penalty. Which did not please the former Santos player at all, who directly replied to Globo below their article on Twitter.
“Ghost? Globo makes Globo … he touched me and there is a penalty. Still people who have never kicked a ball and who continue to do shitty articles”, Neymar got carried away . Minutes after that stinging response, the Brazilian posted a photo of his celebration after converting the penalty with the caption: ‘A grimace for the haters’.
“My friend, I have been criticized since I was 13”
This Tuesday, the “Ney” once again got carried away on Twitter in response to comments by a Globo consultant on television. The latter paid for the reaction of Neymar, notably regretting his susceptibility. “Oh that’s right! I can’t argue with an article that is bullshit…and now I don’t take criticism. My friend, I’ve been criticized since I was 13,” he replied. Neymar.
In sporting terms, the Brazilian finished PSG’s Japanese tour perfectly by scoring a brace against Gamba Osaka. After having done justice to himself on this famous penalty, he then erased the Japanese goalkeeper with a nice hook to score in the empty net. He also provided an assist to Lionel Messi.
