A tri-sport athlete from Pueblo South is forging her own path in tennis

Taking a path less traveled can be daunting.

For Pueblo South’s Nicole Abraham, following in her sister’s footsteps to play softball just wasn’t meant to be. She decided to branch out and find her own sport in which to excel.

“It’s actually a funny story, I played volleyball and I swam and I wrote in both, so I was like, ‘Oh my God, why wouldn’t I go I not for a third? ‘” Abraham said.

She said that after thinking about it, her decision came down to golf or tennis. Abraham chose the latter and “ended up really loving him,” she said.
