40,000 licenses offered by the FFBB to “active” members

After an Olympic campaign punctuated by two medals, the FFBB is trying to ride the wave by launching the “40,000 free licenses” operation for the start of the 2021-2022 sports season.

Aware of the impact of the health crisis on the mobilization of leaders, supervisors and volunteers in clubs, the French basketball federation (FFBB) undertakes to offer free licensing to new “active members”, namely licensees having exclusively a function within a club, manager/manager, technician or official, without being a practitioner (player, health basketball, etc.). Thus, for any new creation of a manager/manager, technician or official license, the FFBB will automatically offer free federal, regional and departmental shares up to 10 licenses for the same club. .

Jean-Pierre Siutat (president of the FFBB): “After a remarkable summer for basketball, we are now entering a new sporting season. We must approach it with humility in the face of the consequences of the health crisis but also with determination by supporting our clubs. Basketball has obtained very good results in Tokyo, clubs are making efforts to welcome, in accordance with health protocols, all young people who want to play basketball, and there are many of them, but we need more supervisors to that everything goes well. This is why I wanted to set up this operation of 40,000 new leaders. We are convinced that this operation will help our 4,000 clubs to revive their activities. »
